What is a lift-and-slide system?
When the handle is turned, the sash slightly rises on rollers and glides easily along the track. When closing, it lowers, pressing firmly against the gaskets under its own weight, ensuring airtightness.
How much warmer is this solution compared to aluminum?
PVC itself has low thermal conductivity. Combined with a multi-chamber profile and warm threshold, LivIngSlide often outperforms aluminum alternatives in the same price range in heat retention (Uw down to 0.8).
What size can the door be?
The maximum width of the entire structure can reach 6.5 meters, and the height — 2.8 meters. The weight of a single sash can be up to 400 kg.
Is it difficult to open a heavy sash?
No, thanks to high-quality hardware and ball-bearing rollers, even a child can move a 300 kg sash. Optionally, soft-close mechanisms or electric drives can be installed.
What kind of threshold does this system have?
The threshold features a thermal break for protection against freezing. It can be installed with minimal protrusion above the floor, providing convenient barrier-free passage.
Is a glass wall safe?
Yes, tempered glass or laminated safety glass is used. The system itself is equipped with anti-burglary hardware and special glazing beads, providing protection up to RC2 class.
