What is the advantage of the MD system for first-line seafront housing?
MD stands for Mitteldichtung (central sealing). The third sealing circuit creates a so-called "dry chamber" inside the profile. This is where the hardware is located. This is critically important for coastal areas, as salt and moisture do not contact metal parts, preventing their corrosion and extending mechanism service life.
Does 76 MD really help save on air conditioning?
Yes, the 6-chamber profile structure and three sealing circuits create a powerful thermal barrier. The 76 MD system blocks transfer of outdoor heat inside the room in summer and retains air conditioner coolness. This allows reducing electricity costs by 30-40%, as climate equipment operates in a more economical mode.
Will this system help if the windows face a noisy square or bar?
Xtrem 76 MD is one of the leaders in sound insulation. Thanks to three closure levels, sound is dampened much more effectively than in standard systems with two seals. Combined with laminated glass (triplex), the system can provide silence up to 48 dB, cutting off even low-frequency city noises.
How is the burglar resistance of this model?
The system is designed with RC2 security requirements in mind. The central seal not only improves insulation but also makes external access to locking mechanisms more difficult. Combined with anti-burglar hardware and special glazing, 76 MD windows become a serious obstacle to unauthorized entry.
Do seals need to be lubricated more often due to the sun?
