Practicality and protection
Protect your balcony from wind, rain and dust with lightweight and economical aluminum structures. The ideal solution for those who value practicality and don't plan to use the balcony as a living space in winter.

What is cold glazing?
Cold glazing is a lightweight and budget-friendly system based on aluminum profiles with single glass. Its main purpose is to protect the balcony space from adverse weather conditions: rain, snow, wind and dust. This type of glazing doesn't provide significant thermal insulation, but makes the balcony clean, tidy and comfortable for use during warm seasons.

Frequently asked questions
How much colder is a balcony with cold glazing in winter?
The temperature on a balcony with cold glazing will be on average 5-7°C higher than outside. It protects from wind and precipitation, but not from frost.
Can cold glazing be installed on an old balcony?
Yes, thanks to their low weight, aluminum structures are an ideal solution for balconies in old buildings where there are load restrictions on the floor slab.
Is the sliding system very noisy?
Modern systems, such as Provedal, are equipped with quality rollers and seals, which provide smooth and fairly quiet sliding of the sashes.
Does cold glazing protect from leaks?
Yes, the structure is designed to effectively drain rainwater. The seal system provides good tightness and protection from slanting rain and melting snow.
Can a balcony with cold glazing be insulated later?
No, to create a warm room, a complete replacement of cold glazing with warm glazing (PVC) will be required. Aluminum profile is not designed to retain heat.
Does aluminum profile require special care?
Aluminum profile is very low-maintenance. It is not subject to corrosion and doesn't require painting. It's sufficient to periodically wipe it clean of dust and dirt with a damp cloth.
