Glazing for balconies and loggias

What you need to know?

Glazing a balcony or loggia is not just about installing windows. It's an opportunity to expand the usable area of your apartment, create an additional room, a winter garden, or simply a weather-protected space. The choice between warm and cold glazing is key and depends on your goals and budget.

Before starting work, it's important to assess the condition of the balcony slab and parapet, especially in old buildings. Our specialists will conduct a thorough inspection and offer an optimal and safe solution that meets technical standards and your requirements.

Warm glazing

Warm glazing transforms your balcony or loggia into a full-fledged living space that can be used year-round. We use multi-chamber PVC profiles and energy-saving glass packages that reliably protect from cold, noise and dust.

This solution is ideal if you plan to combine the loggia with a room, set up an office, a relaxation area or a winter garden. You get maximum comfort and significantly improve the thermal insulation of the entire apartment.

Cold glazing

Cold glazing is an economical and lightweight option designed to protect the balcony from wind, rain, snow and dust. Aluminum profiles with single glass are used as the base. Most often these are sliding structures that save space.

This type of glazing doesn't make the balcony warm in winter, but is excellent for storing items, drying laundry or using as a summer veranda. The lightweight construction allows it to be installed on balconies where high loads are unacceptable.

Frequently asked questions

Is permission required for balcony glazing?

In most cases, if you don't change the configuration and color of the facade, special permission is not required. However, in some residential complexes or buildings that are architectural monuments, there may be specific rules. We recommend clarifying this issue with your management company.

What is the key difference between warm and cold glazing?

The main difference is in the level of thermal insulation. Warm glazing (PVC) allows you to use the balcony as a living room year-round. Cold glazing (aluminum) protects from precipitation and wind, but the temperature on the balcony will only be 5-7 degrees higher than outside.

How long does glazing installation take?

Standard installation of glazing for a balcony or loggia usually takes one working day. Timelines may increase slightly if additional work is required, such as parapet reinforcement or interior finishing.

Can heavy PVC windows be installed on any balcony?

Not always. Before installing warm glazing, it's necessary to assess the condition of the balcony slab. Our surveyor will definitely check the technical feasibility and, if necessary, offer options for structural reinforcement or lighter alternatives.

How to care for new windows on the balcony?

Care is simple. Profiles just need to be wiped with a damp cloth with soapy solution, and glass with regular window cleaning products. It's also recommended to lubricate the moving parts of the fittings with special oil once a year.

Do you do turnkey balcony finishing?

Yes, we provide a full range of services: from measurement and manufacturing of structures to installation, insulation, as well as internal and external finishing of the balcony or loggia on a turnkey basis.
